Deliverables

Album cover, packaging, disc design

(01) The brief

Brandon Heath’s Christmas record called for a visual direction that captured the nostalgia, warmth, and timelessness of the holiday season without leaning on predictable Christmas imagery. The goal was to create a package that felt personal and rooted in the spirit of Christmas, giving the record a sense of history and familiarity.

(02) The idea

The visual direction centered on a sense of nostalgia, drawing inspiration from archival photography and the traditions surrounding Christmas. The cover features a historic photograph of a crowd gathered around Harvey’s Department Store nativity scene at Centennial Park in Nashville on December 2, 1956. Rather than creating a staged holiday scene, the imagery offered a genuine moment in time. That sense of history carried throughout the packaging, with thoughtful details that made the physical record feel like a keepsake.

(03) Outcome

The project resulted in a complete Christmas album package, extending the visual storytelling beyond the cover through custom interior artwork, disc design, and packaging details. The final package brought together archival imagery and contemporary design to create a keepsake that felt both nostalgic and distinctly personal.
